Contains artwork created by Irv Koons Associates which document each stage of the creative process from development of the initial concept through creation of the final design approved for production. This series contains rough and finished sketches, comprehensives, mock-ups, mechanicals, and finished artwork for numerous package design projects. These materials are arranged alphabetically by company and grouped by media.

Mather & Company workplace posters

Abstract:

Mather & Company was a printer of motivational workplace posters, based out of Chicago, Illinois. Between 1923 and 1929, the company produced approximately 350 work-incentive posters. The posters were color lithographs containing vivid images accompanied by witty captions that demonstrated workplace interpersonal interactions, appropriate behaviors, ideals, and guidelines. This artificial collection consists of twenty-six Mather & Company work-incentive posters. The design of each poster follows a standard format; each includes a three-part message and a single image using a colorful pallet.

This album consists of examples of original commercial art including lettering, letterheads, labels, a postcard, point-of-sale advertising, newspaper advertising, sketches of people, color separation examples, and a drawing of tableware.
