The Winterthur estate is now known as Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library located in Wilmington, Delaware. The estate is the former home of Henry Francis du Pont (1880-1969) who was born there on May 27, 1880, the son of Henry Algernon du Pont and the great-grandson of E.I. du Pont, the founder of the DuPont Company. James Quinn du Pont (1902-1973) spent much of his career with the Public Relations Department of E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company (also known as the DuPont Company). In his role, du Pont traveled throughout the country presenting speeches to the public and company employees to promote DuPont's interests. His papers primarily comprise speeches, business correspondence, and routine memos and notes.
