American Can Company reports

 Collection
Accession: 2875
Abstract:

The American Can Company manufactured tin cans and is credited with manufacturing the first beer can. The original American Can Company was founded in 1901 by brothers William Henry Moore (1848-1923) and James Hobart Moore (1852-1916). The company was a combined entity; factories around the country signed an agreement that their output would be under the American Can Company's control. This small collection includes annual reports, company newsletters, company magazines, and employee newsletters. The target audience for these materials was employees and stockholders. The issues provide information about the company's operations, procedures, processes, history, and finances.
