DuPont Chamber Works New Ponsol Colors Building construction panorama
E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company is a chemical company more commonly referred to as the DuPont company. The Chamber Works was constructed as a dyeworks at Deepwater Point, New Jersey in 1914. This item is a panoramic photograph shows the New Ponsol Colors Building under construction at DuPont's Chambers Works in Deepwater, New Jersey on July 13, 1936.

E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company is a chemical company more commonly referred to as the DuPont company. The company was established in 1802 by Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours (1739-1817) and his son Eleuthère Irénée du Pont (1771-1834). DuPont Luxembourg was founded in 1962 and is one of the largest investments the DuPont Company has made in Europe. These photographs document interior and exterior views of construction at a DuPont Tyvek plant in Luxembourg.
Ellis Leroy Hawk, Jr. polypropylene plant construction scrapbook and travel memoir
Ellis Leroy "Lee" Hawk, Jr. (1926-2012) was a chemical engineer with Hercules Inc., and later the engineering director at Himont. He was involved in establishing polypropylene plants all over the world during the 1950s through the 1980s. This small collection consists of a scrapbook of photographs showing plant construction and a travel memoir written by Hawk about his career in the chemical industry. The memoir provides context for the scrapbook and an interesting portrait of an American businessman during the early stages of globalization.
Gilbert P. Church papers
Gilbert P. Church (1910-1993) was a civil engineer and the field project manager for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company at the Hanford Site during the Manhattan Project. His papers relate to the construction by DuPont for the United States government of the Hanford Engineer Works plutonium plant near Pasco, Washington.

Hardy Jefferson Bowen (1913-2003) was an engineer and scientist. He was founder and president of Industrial Models Inc., a company which built scale models as an aid in the construction of oil refineries and chemical plants. This small collection of his papers primarily consist of materials documenting his modelmaking business.
Joseph Rule papers
Joseph M. Rule (1922-2017) was a chemist and industrial marketing analyst in the Marketing Research Division of the Development Department at the DuPont Company. Later he became senior community affairs consultant in the Public Affairs Department. This small collection consists of materials from Rule's work for the Marketing Research Department. The materials include market research reports, DuPont Elastomers architectural files, and advertisements.
