Truck production in the United States accelerated rapidly during the twentieth century in a variety of ways. The Robert Gilbert collection of truck ephemera documents this trend, spanning from the 1930s to the early 2000s, with the bulk of materials dating from 1950 to 2000. The collection contains trade catalogs, magazine tear sheets, and serials related to both commercial and consumer vehicles, farm tractors, and construction equipment. Manufacturers represented in the collection include: Allis-Chalmers, Case, Caterpillar, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, General Motors, International Harvester, Kenworth, Komatsu, Mack, Massey-Ferguson, Peterbilt, Volvo, White, and several other companies.
