General information system agreement, 1971 July-1974 February
In accordance with the findings of a Development Department Report (S-2964), April 16, 1970, which recommended sharing patent documentation costs with outside organizations, Du Pont entered into a licensing agreement with the Plenum Publishing Corporation for the Central Patent Index's General Information System. This agreement conveyed the Plenum non-exclusive rights to make use of Du Pont's technical expertise regarding computer-based storage and retrieval of patent information. Files includes the vendor's proposal for a patent information retrieval system, draft versions of the licensing agreement and related correspondence, copies of the final agreement and amended agreement, and Reports to the Executive Committee from the Information System and Secretary's Departments.
