Misc. 6 Radio Free Europe chairmanship, 1963-1966

Scope and Contents:

Greenewalt served RFE as chairman during the period from 1963 to 1966. Upon his retirement on September 8, 1966, the Board of Directors presented him with a leather-bound, folio-size album of pictures and photocopies of newpaper clippings covering his activities as chairman. Also included are letters from Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, a photograph of a luncheon with President Kennedy, and casual photos taken during a TV taping of an interview with General Eisenhower. A pocket in the back of the album contains a 33 1/3 rpm record of the Eisenhower-Greenewalt interview.

Misc. 7 Radio Free Europe - resolution of appreciation, 1966

Scope and Contents:

Large engrossed copy of a resolution of the Board of Directors of RFE expressing their appreciation to Greenewalt for his service to RFE. This resolution was intended for inclusion in the album of Box 44, Folder 1, but was apparently not completed at the time the album was presented to Greenewalt.

Misc. 8 DuPont testimonial resolution, 1967

Scope and Contents:

Engrossed, four-page parchment testimonial resolution presented to Greenewalt upon his resignation as chairman of the Board of Directors of DuPont. Includes a picture of a typical powder mill. The resolution is signed by all of the other members of the Board of Directors.

Misc. 9 Boeing resolution of appreciation, 1974

Scope and Contents:

When Greenewalt reached Boeing's mandatory retirement age, he retired from the Boeing Board of Directors and became a director emeritus. The chairman, T.A. Wilson, and other board members presented him with an engrossed copy of the board’s resolution of appreciation for his contributions to Boeing as a director for more than ten years.

Misc. 10 DuPont testimonial resolution, 1988

Scope and Contents:

When Greenewalt retired from the DuPont Board of Directors in February 1988, a ten-page parchment engrossed copy of the board’s resolution of appreciation was presented to him. The resolution recounts his services to DuPont over a period of sixty-five years and also notes many of the important positions he held outside the DuPont Company. The resolution is signed by all of the other directors.
