Scope and Contents
The Departmental records subseries is divided into three sections: (1) Corporate Documentation; (2) Agreement Files; and (3) Financial Records. (1) Corporate Documentation (1929-1972) includes stock listings; J.E.S. debentures; financial records, minute books, stock books and correspondence from some domestic subsidiaries; and articles of incorporation, agreements of mergers and miscellaneous corporate records for defunct companies. (2) Agreement files (1917-1961, bulk 1940-1959) regard domestic companies. (3) Financial records (1930-1973) include financial statements, general ledgers and payroll and tax records for various domestic companies.
