Scope and Content
The tract of land called Stockford Farms (located in New Castle County, Del.) was the initial real estate of the Delaware Land Development Co.'s subsidiary Stockford Farms, Inc. In 1939 it was transferred to Marion du Pont Scott, while the Delaware Land Development Co. acted as an agent in renting and selling the property. Papers include Stockford Farms account, July 1, 1938-October 30, 1944; tax receipts, 1938-1944; quarterly rent receipts, June 1939-August 1944; insurance and maintenance receipts, 1938-1942; sale agreement on the parcel of land adjacent to Stockford Farms, December 8, 1942; few letters re: insurance, 1944.
