- Creation: 1934-1972
Scope and Content
This subseries reflects the activities of several different Delaware Chapters. Chandler was initiated into the Delta Chapter on September 29, 1933, and became the Chapter’s first president. For this Chapter there is a scrapbook detailing its activities in the years 1933-1936 and letters of congratulations from other Chapters across the United States. In 1949, she became a charter member of the Xi Alpha Exemplar Chapter and in 1964 she was one of the founding members of the Beta Preceptor Chapter. Many of the records are from these chapters and consist of minutes, attendance sheets, correspondence, by-laws, and monthly reports. Chandler was involved with the other chapters as well, serving as an Advisor, Director, and friendly council. The remaining material relates to the other Delaware Chapters and is similar in type to the documents of Chandler’s own Chapters.
