From Ebay listing: "This salt bag may be attributed to the Baluch tribes of western Afghanistan. It measures 13 x 16 inches. The brown and ivory will is typical of one group of weavers who are identified as Taimani, a constituent member of the Chahar Aimaq confederation of tribes. The design is a dynamic one; the zig zag motif being not uncommon within the medium of flatweaves. It is seldom executes as the only design on a salt bag, but it is not unknown. The braided tassels hanging form the bottom of the bag are dyed in a vibrant red probably derived from madder root."
