Scope and Content
The series was divided into two subseries to reflect the subjects of training and marketing. Videocassettes that are part of a sequence were kept together.
This series is compiled of the videos of the Sperry UNIVAC Corporation dating primarily from 1971 through 1990. Most of the series consists of training videos for the company’s computers and operating systems, annual presentations, commercials and marketing presentations. Of note is historic footage of the ENIAC computer, presentations by famous motion picture actor Kirk Douglas, footage from the television program “What’s My Line?, (sponsored by Remington Rand UNIVAC) and many hours of instructional video describing the use of the company’s products.
