Historical Note
James V. Piet (1927-) was manager of the DuPont Plant in Kinston. He joined DuPont in 1951 as a student engineer and held various positions before becoming manager in 1973. Piet earned his bachelor of chemical engineering at the University of Detroit and is World War II veteran.

Interview primarily relates to Piet's role in the DuPont Co.'s Dacron business.
