Biographical Note
Thomas L. Nelson (1925-2014) began working at the DuPont Company in 1954, at the Wilmington Delaware Experimental Station, in the Engineering Section at Central Research. From there, he moved to the Seaford Nylon Plant and the Textile Fibers Department Through his work at DuPont, he was awarded both the Peterson and Lavoisier Medals for Technical Achievement and was listed as inventor on twenty-five U.S. Patents. He retired in 1991 as a Senior Research Associate.
