Biographical Note
Luther Derieux Dunn (1929-2016) began employment with DuPont Company at the Seaford Plant in 1951. He became a member of the original Dacron team which developed the Dacron pilot program. Promotions throughout his career took him to the Dacron Plant on a site in Kinston, North Carolina; Old Hickory, Tennesse; Wilmington, Delaware, Richmond, Viginia; Seaford, Delaware; Wilmington, North Carolina; Geneva Switzerland, and Dusseldorf Germany. Dunn received Bachelor of Science degrees in Math and Chemistry from Wake Forest College in 1951.
