Daniel Cauffiel (1867-1930) was a merchant, real estate developer, and entrepreneur of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware. The Daniel Cauffiel papers depict his career as a small business entrepreneur and as an agent or employee of the du Pont family and in their various businesses.

Margaretta “Meta” du Pont Coleman (1862-1938) was a descendant of Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours (1739-1817) who founded the E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company with his son Eleuthère Irénée du Pont (1771-1834) in 1802. The E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company is a chemical company more commonly referred to as the DuPont company. The Margaretta E. "Meta" du Pont Coleman Papers primarily consist of family correspondence collected by Meta Coleman.

Margaretta Lammot du Pont (1807-1898) was the wife of Alfred Victor du Pont (1798-1856), who worked for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. This collection correspondence to du Pont from Joseph D. Reinboth, of Pennsylvania, and her grandson, T. Coleman du Pont (1863-1930).

T. Coleman (Thomas Coleman) du Pont (1863-1930) was President of the E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company from 1902 to 1915, and a U.S. Senator from Delaware from 1921 to 1928. E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company is a chemical company more commonly referred to as the DuPont company. The company was established in 1802 by Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours (1739-1817) and his son Eleuthère Irénée du Pont (1771-1834). The company began with the production of gunpowder. Du Pont married Alice du Pont (1863-1937) in 1891; the couple had five children. This is a small collection of microfilm copies documenting select heirlooms of the T. Coleman and Alice du Pont family.

T. Coleman (Thomas Coleman) du Pont (1863-1930) was President of the DuPont Company from 1902 to 1915, and a U.S. Senator from Delaware from 1921 to 1928. He married Alice du Pont (1863-1937) in 1891. The "Old Mill" was constructed in 1909 to 1910 as a weekend home for T. Coleman du Pont in an area near Greenville, Delaware. These photographs document the Old Mill, retreat of T. Coleman du Pont, and the surrounding gardens planted by his wife, Alice.

Thomas Woodnutt Miller (1886-1973) served as Delaware's Congressman in the 64th Congress (1915-1917) and spent the majority of his career in Republican Party politics, serving primarily in non-elected roles. This item is a carbon copy of Miller's speech to the 1916 Republican National Convention entitled "Remarks of Thomas W. Miller, Representative in Congress from Delaware, placing the name of General T. Coleman du Pont of Delaware in nomination for the Presidency." T. Coleman (Thomas Coleman) du Pont (1863-1930) was president of the E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company from 1902 to 1915, a gunpowder manufacturing firm.
