Historical Note

Wawaset Park was a planned residential community built by the Du Pont Company around 1918 for its executives in Wilmington, Delaware. The community featured a park-like design with a variety of house models available, originally priced from $5,000 to $14,000. Roads were narrow and garages were optional, as the area was on three trolley lines.
