C. Robert Werle papers

C. Robert Werle (1893-1990) was an industrial engineer who worked for Cooley & Marvin Company of Boston conducting time studies, as well as analysis of accounting and plant methods for a variety of clients, mostly in the textile, leather, woodworking, and metalworking industries. Werle's papers cover his career between 1917 and 1931, with emphasis on his employment at Cooley & Marvin; Bigelow, Kent, Willard & Co.; and Watsontown Door & Sash. The papers include correspondence, reports, and work papers, mostly connected with time studies. There are numerous examples of the standard forms, cards, and tags used to control reporting and the routing of materials in factories.

Ferracute Machine Company records

The Ferracute Machine Company of Bridgeton, New Jersey was a press and die business founded by Oberlin Smith (1840-1926), inventor, writer, manufacturer in 1863. The collection consists of materials assembled by Arthur J. Cox for the preparation of the company history, Ferracute: The History of an American Enterprise (1985). This collection has been arranged into seventeen series: Administration; Advertising; Employees; History; Machine tools; Military work; Unions; Patents; Press work; Frederick A. Parkhurst (FAP) Time Studies; Miscellany; Scrapbooks; Drawings; Orders; Payrolls; Press cards; and Account books.

Ralph Mosser Barnes motion and time study films

Ralph Mosser Barnes (1900-1984) was an American industrial engineer who was a pioneer in motion and time study applications. This collection consists of four films showing a selection of studies that were managed or designed by Barnes.
