This subseries documents Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the United States. Prior to 1952, Mercedes-Benz vehicles that appeared on American shores were privately imported. From 1952 to 1955, Mercedes-Benz vehicles were officially imported by Hoffman Motors Corporation of New York City. Between 1957 and 1963, the German automaker's products were marketed in the United States by Mercedes-Benz Sales, Incorporated of South Bend, Indiana, which was a joint venture between Daimler-Benz AG and Studebaker-Packard Corporation. From 1965 onward, Mercedes-Benz vehicles were marketed on American shores by the subsidiary Mercedes-Benz of North America, Incorporated, whose headquarters were located in Fort Lee, New Jersey (1965-1972) and Montvale, New Jersey (1973-Present).

Mercedes-Benz also builds vehicles in the United States. During 1970s, the German automaker built commercial trucks at an assembly plant in Hampton, Virginia.
