Scope and Content
This subseries documents GAZ (Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod) of Gorky, Soviet Union. GAZ vehicle were marketed outside of the Soviet Union by the Soviet government export agencies Avtoexport and Technopromimport. The subseries is arranged alphabetically by publication type and thereunder chronologically. Formats include a trade catalog for fleet vehicles and trade catalogs for specific models.
The trade catalog for fleet vehicles is for GAZ fire engines. The trade catalogs for specific models include those for the GAZ 69AM, Pobeda, and Chaika. Most of the materials are in Russian, but also include items in English, French, Finnish, Swedish, German, and Spanish. See also Avtoexport and Volga.
