Scope and Content
This subseries documents Ford of Germany. Ford Motor Company first started operating in Germany in 1916. Its vehicles were built by the following German subsidiaries: Ford Motor Company AG of Berlin, Germany (1925-1931) and Cologne, Germany (1931-1939), and Ford-Werke AG of Cologne, Germany (1939-Present). In 1967, Ford-Werke AG merged with Ford Motor Company Limited (Great Britain) and became a subsidiary of Ford of Europe GmbH. See also Ford of Europe.
