Scope and Contents
These 56 items were originally pasted onto black pages of a large leather portfolio, Box 185. Most of the pages contain press clippings from the 1970s to the 1980s from the New York Times, New York Magazine, Progressive Architecture. Most of the articles feature his photographs. There are also several reviews of the "End of the Road,” an exhibit of Margolies’ photographs at the Hudson River Museum 1981, a show described as "an articulate plea against the homogenization of the American landscape." That year, Margolies published book of photographs, also called The End of the Road, referring to the vanishing roadside architecture of the United States
