Biographical note
Richard Fayerweather Babcock (1887-1954) was an illustrator, painter, muralist, and educator. His illustrations appeared in encyclopedias and advertising posters, particularly for the U.S. Navy during World War I. His murals appeared in the Legler Branch of the Chicago Public Library and the U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego, California.
