The Administration series is organized into four subseries: Meeting Minutes; NVF plant information; National Electrical Manufacturing Association (NEMA) records; and American Paper Institute, Inc. (API) reports.
The Meeting minutes subseries contains original minute books of the National Vulcanized Fibre Company that date from 1931 to 1947, along with NVF Company meeting information in the late twentieth century. Additionally, this subseries includes minute books from companies that merged with the National Vulcanized Fibre Company, such as American Vulcanized Fibre Company, Fibre Specialty Manufacturing Company, Kartvert Manufacturing Company, and Lestershire Spool and Manufacturing Company. The subseries dates from 1901 to 1993.
The NVF plant information subseries includes programs, reports, job descriptions, and newsletters that represent the daily operations in multiple NVF plants throughout the mid-to-late twentieth century. NVF plants were in areas such as Delaware, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Illinois, California, and Canada. The subseries also consists of various NVF files that include equipment instructions and quotes, maps, purchase orders, samples, project information, agreements, and correspondence. The materials are alphabetically arranged and date from 1944 to 2002.
The National Electrical Manufacturing Association (NEMA) records subseries contains meeting minutes and reports. NEMA was founded in 1926 and is an ANSI-accredited Standards Developing Organization that represents electrical equipment and medical imaging manufacturers in discussions of industry-wide concerns and objectives. The reports in this subseries focus on legislative issues, personnel policies and procedures, workplace rights, and financial matters. The subseries is alphabetically and then chronically arranged and dates from 1984 to 1987.
The American Paper Institute, Inc. (API) subseries consist of reports and data sheets. API is the national trade association of the forest products industry and represents U.S. paper production and wood-building material manufacturers. The materials in this subseries include labor development reports, health and safety reports, Equal Employment Opportunity information, and regional labor data sheets. The subseries is chronically arranged and dates from 1986 to 1988.
