Media clippings, 1969-2005
Part of collection: Catalyst Inc. records (2728)
Dates
- Creation: 1969-2005
Scope and Contents
This subseries consists of media clippings kept primarily by Catalyst’s Marketing Department as a national file, arranged topically and within topic by publication circulation numbers. Clippings from the earliest years, however, were kept by the Information Center in portfolios that could be checked out by patrons. Most originate from clippings services. The file documents Catalyst’s activities and provides insight into the scope and reach of Catalyst’s research and work in media mentions. It includes extensive coverage of the Catalyst Awards; census initiatives; research projects; holidays (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Labor Day); and topics like parental leave, dual-career couples, the wage gap, and the “Mommy Track” controversy.
