This subseries consists of materials related to Catalyst’s Mentoring Resource. Catalyst began research on mentoring in the mid-1980s, collecting information on how corporations were developing mentoring programs, both formal and informal. The Mentoring Resource provided companies with guidance on ways to address mentorship, provided corporate contacts to policy planners, and responded to press inquiries on this topic. Materials include background articles, both from the popular press and academic journals, examples of mentoring programs and consultants; correspondence; press quotes and correspondence that reflects Catalyst’s expertise on the topic; and files related to the publication, “Mentoring: A Guide to Corporate Programs and Practices” (1993). The files were in some disarray; their order has been imposed by the archivist.
