This subseries consists of materials created by Catalyst’s Research Department that are not associated with a particular project or are not a complete set of project files that would otherwise form their own subseries. The records are assembled from various sources, many of them not identified, into a body of general departmental files. The subseries is arranged alphabetically. It includes drafts and notes from the Catalyst book Advancing Women in Business—The Catalyst Guide: Best Practices from the Corporate Leaders (San Francisco: Jossey-Bass Publications, 1998); sample blank surveys from Catalyst survey projects; sample comparative surveys conducted by other organizations, arranged by topic; materials related to projects completed in partnership with the Food Marketing Group and Women’s Foodservice Forum; materials related to global strategy and departmental project planning; materials related to the U.S. Department of Labor Glass Ceiling Commission; procedural guides for conducting Catalyst survey work; project files kept on a number of research projects, arranged in their original order; research inquiries; and website revisions. Many files belonged to Marcia Brumit Kropf, vice president of research and information services, and reflect a period of departmental reorganization, circa 2000, when Research and Advisory Services became Research and Information Services.
