This subseries consists of materials related to the Catalyst National Network, a network of career centers, college guidance offices, and individual counselors that subscribed to network services provided by Catalyst. Centers received regular mailings, newsletters, and content that could be shared with their clients. The National Network also ran the Catalyst National Roster, a “computerized listing of college-educated women who seek administrative, managerial, technical, or professional positions.” The roster is arranged geographically within forty fields and indexed; it was open to women at least twenty-four years old with at least one year of college, as a free service. Interested employers contacted Catalyst for resumes. The first edition was published in 1973 with 1,500 listings; new editions were sent monthly to subscribing employers. The roster was discontinued in 1977, with the network following in 1989, as Catalyst began to shift its focus from individual women’s careers to changing corporate culture. This subseries consists of brochures, local resource center listings, the National Roster listings, resource notebooks, regional conference materials, mailings (arranged chronologically), newsletters, publications, survey results, and advisory council materials.
