Scope and Contents

The sixth series consists of microfilm of eight of thirteen files of the Special Committee on the company's 150th anniversary. The files are primarily concerned with the arrangements and logistics of the celebration, which included the erection of a monument and the burial of a time capsule on the site of the original Eleutherian Mills of 1802. There are lists of all DuPont plants and offices with the names of the nearest newspaper and television stations for the purposes of coordinating publicity, invitations, guest lists, site maps, a short chronology, and other historical notes.
