Scope and Contents
Two groups of records, the first pertaining to the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust suit against AT&T, United States of America v. Western Electric Company Inc. and American Telephone and Telegraph Company, Civil Action No. 82-0192 in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia [U.S. v. AT&T], mostly MCI memoranda and filings related to Judge Greene's proposed modification of final judgment of the 1956 Consent Decree, and to line-of-business restrictions on the divested regional Bell companies [Baby Bells]. The second group of records consists of court documents and filings from MCI's second antitrust suit against AT&T, MCI Communications Corporation v. American Telephone and Telegraph Company, Civil Action No. 79-1182 in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia [MCI II] and includes one linear foot of MCI financial records used in evidence. Appended to this second group are three folders of unattributable records.
