Scope and Contents

The Sales literature series pertains to the Quaker sales force, their customers and the company's New York City sales showroom. This series contains correspondence files of Quaker's travelling salesmen' and other staff such as the Customer Relations and Credit Managers, files of Quaker's wholesale costumers, and sales support materials, including price lists and delivery schedules. This series includes the correspondence of William Ewart and Sons, New York, Ltd., a maker of Irish Linen distributed and sold in the United States by Quaker Lace. Sales quota reports and books of salesmen's commission paid are also found in this series. Correspondence and invoices represent the most common type of material in the Sales Literature series.
