Scope and Contents
This series contains the design drawings of individual interior design projects worked on by William Pahlmann and his firm William Pahlmann Associates. It focuses mainly on the planning and design of these projects by Pahlmann and his firm. The drawings in this series provide highly detailed design information about the projects themselves. They also provide considerable documentation of the actual planning and design work carried out by Pahlmann and William Pahlmann Associates, in some cases tracking the development of individual interior design projects from their original concepts to their final design.
Numerous types of design drawings are found in this series, including but not limited to architectural plans, floor plans, elevations, section plans, detail plans, electrical plans, and renderings. The plans themselves are found in a number of different formats, including pencil drawings, ink drawings, blueprints, and pencil sketches. A large majority of the drawings were created by William Pahlmann Associates, but a noticeable number of plans created by other individuals and firms are preserved in this series. A small amount of miscellaneous materials accompanying the various design plans, including but not limited to correspondence, specification sheets, notes, brochures, and catalog pages are found in this series as well.
