The Executive series includes the records of multiple high-ranking executives and is split by individual into the following eleven subseries:

Subseries A. Edgar M. Bronfman, Sr., President and Chairman of the Board, 1936-1981, bulk 1970-1978

This subseries contains fragmentary personal correspondence and materials regarding overseas operations and the Samuel Bronfman Foundation.

Subseries B. Richard Clurman, Special Assistant to Edgar M. Bronfman, Sr., 1951-1980, bulk dates 1969-1979

This subseries documents the Bronfmans' charitable activities and the company's philanthropy in annual summary reports. Also included are correspondence about personal and company matters and files regarding Ford Foundation seminars examining Human Rights; Foreign Policy and the Media; Media and Business; and Media and Law. A 1978 draft manuscript of Bronfman Dynasty: The Rothschilds of the New World by Peter Newman is also located in this senes.

Subseries C. Edgar M. Bronfman, Jr., Company President and CEO, 1984-1987

Selected records of Edgar M. Bronfman, Jr., comprise this subseries. It contains reports by management consultants McKinsey & Co. on subjects including organization, strategies, marketing and positioning, and acquisitions.

Subseries D. Harold Fieldsteel, Controller, Treasurer, Executive Vice President for Administration and Finance, Director, 1946-1981

Ihis subseries includes four sections: (1) corporate documentation; (2) correspondence files; (3) financial records; and (4) Seagram Building (375 Park Avenue) files. (1) The corporate documentation (1957-1981) section includes records regarding Conoco and DuPont stock acquisitions and corporate bond offerings. (2) Fieldsteel's correspondence files document financial relationships with overseas and domestic subsidiaries and include records relating to acquisitions, operations, marketing, advertising, personnel, insurance and meeting minutes. These files are further divided into two parts: International Subsidiaries (1963-1978) and General and Domestic Company Correspondence (1957-1974). (3) The financial records (1955-1968) contained here were created mainly while Fieldsteel served as Assistant Controller and include financial reports of subsidiaries such as Eastern Wine and Liquor Corp., Frankfort Oil Co., and Fromm and Sichel. Also included are a few records regarding Seagram overseas operations. (4) Files in the final section (1946-1962, bulk 1957-1961) are comprised mainly of financial records regarding construction and operation of the company's headquarters at 375 Park Avenue (Seagram Building). Particularly noteworthy is the "Project Skytop" file which includes a report by George A. Fuller Co., Kahn and Jacobs, and Cushman and Wakefield on studies of various plans for the building proposed prior to securing Meis van der Rohe as the project architect.

Subseries E. Jack Yogman, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, 1968-1976

This subseries contains records regarding subsidiaries Fromm and Sichel, Inc., Irish Distillers Group, Ltd., and Texas Pacific Coal and Oil Co.

Subseries F. Phillip E. Beekman, President, 1972-1982, bulk 1977-1978

This subseries contains budget reviews, controllers reports, and records of staff and Executive Committee meetings.

Subseries G. Murray Cohen, Vice President and Controller, 1960-1978, bulk 1960-1967

This subseries is comprised of financial reports and interim status reports regarding corporate finances and investments.

Subseries H. Richard Karl Goeltz, Treasurer, Controller, Executive Vice President, 1967-1987

This subseries contains correspondence, reports, and background research materials regarding financing of subsidiary and acquired companies.

Subseries I. Michael C. L. Hallows, Assistant Secretary, Secretary, 1979-1984

These records are divided into two parts: (1) Correspondence and papers (1979-1983) contain Hallows' chronological correspondence (1980-1983); company announcements on policy and personnel matters including executive and management appointments; Operating Committee meeting minutes; correspondence regarding Chivas Brothers Ltd., Glenlivet Distillers, Ltd. and Seagram Distillers, Ltd.; and stock price listings. Section (2) contains International Affiliates Reports by Price Waterhouse (1980-1984).

Subseries J. Thomas P. Hawe, Vice President of Finance, 1950-1973, bulk 1967-1973

The records include (1) Corporate Documentation regarding bond offerings (1971); (2) International Company Files regard financing of international operations (1967-1973); and (3) General and Domestic Files (1950-1973, bulk 1967-1973) mostly pertaining to financial matters such as cash plans, international bank loans, financial statements, fund statements, profit plans and the company pension plan.

Subseries I. William E. Wunder, Vice President Production and Engineering and President House of Seagram, 1979-1983

The records in this subseries mainly concern Seagram's affirmative action efforts. Also included are records relating to management incentives and bonuses, and the company pension plan.
