This series contains a set of research files compiled by John Bassette, an associate at William Pahlmann Associates. Arranged by subject, they were apparently compiled for use by William Pahlmann and his firm's staff members. The John Bassette Research Files concern a number of subjects pertaining to interior design, including but not limited to furniture, furnishings, accessories, and architecture. The contents of these files consist mainly of catalog clippings, magazine clippings, newspaper clippings, notes, and photographs. Drawings, drawing reproductions, catalogs, publications, transparencies, and correspondence are found in these files as well.
