Scope and Content
Electrofusion is a process for joining plastic pipe. The process involves passing electricity through heat coils in fittings which heat the fittings and adjoining pipe to a temperature which bonds the fittings to the pipe. Much of DuPont's pipe system was centered on both the production of plastic pipe as well as the electrofusion of plastic pipe.
