Scope and Content
Consists of material about the Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Company, known by its slogan of "Red Arrow Lines." This section contains a larger portion of original company documents, particularly a run of legal case files relating to the organization of companies, the application for franchises or abandonment of service, and disputes with other companies. Also of note are the "Historical Notes," which are notebooks in which someone recorded service changes and other items of interest between 1925 and 1970. There are also transit maps and guides and plans for 69th Street Terminal and surrounding area.
