Scope and Content

Consists of documents, clippings and notes concerning the Philadelphia Transportation Company and is predecessor the Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company. The PTC became the City Lines of SEPTA, and DeGraw's official involvement with them came at the very end of his career and his interest in them was much less than with the Red Arrow Division. There are the usual maps, route guides and historical articles, including a copy of a seminar paper on Thomas E. Mitten's system of labor relations, schematic track maps showing to contraction of street railway service, and architectural plans of the original subway terminal at 69th Street.
