Scope and Content
Consists of records of monthly meetings of the Board of Directors, includes more substantial documentation of the organization's policy development in key areas of foreign trade policy and regulation. Folders for monthly meetings include background information and briefing papers, statements before Congressional hearings and correspondence with Commerce Department officials, key congressional figures, and other business leaders and trade associations. Occasional folders, mostly before 1950, include full transcripts of meetings where key policies are discussed and developed.

Folders for monthly meetings are arranged chronologically. The digest is arranged alphabetically by topic with a chronological digest of actions on that topic. As such, it can be used as an index to the dockets themselves.
