Scope and Content
Consists of seasonal and standard color cards issued by the Color Card Association of the United States, and its predecessor, the Textile Color Card Association. The standard cards provide a uniform standard for color selection, while the seasonal cards present standardized colors organized around a theme, forecasting each season's color development. These color cards are used extensively by textile manufacturers and allied industries, as well as by procuring agencies of the federal government, particularly the armed services. This series also contains an extensive collection of color cards issued by French textile manufacturers. In addition to the French color cards, there are cards from Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, and the United States.
