Scope and Content
These letters embody Swank's fact-gathering from iron pioneers and their descendants and were a principal source for his several histories of the iron industry. They are available in three formats: the original letters numbered from 1 to 100 and typed transcripts. A microfilm of the original letters is located in Accession 0322.
