John B. O’Donnell (1925-1984) worked at Joseph Bancroft & Sons Company when it was a subsidiary of Indian Head Inc, International Stretch Products Inc., Ansonia Mills, American Sugar Refining Company, Indian Head Mills Inc, and Lawrence Manufacturing Textile Company.

O’Donnell was born on January 3, 1925, in Cotuit, Massachusetts. He graduated from Philips Academy, Holy Cross College of Worchester, and the Harvard Business School.

In 1965, O’Donnell was named treasurer of Indian Head Mills Inc. Prior; he had been treasurer of International Stretch Products Inc. when it acquired Ansonia Mills. He had been vice president and chief financial officer of Ansonia Mills for five years. Prior to joining Ansonia, he was associated with the American Sugar Refining Company.

In 1967, O’Donnell was named executive vice president and general manager of Joseph Bancroft & Sons Company, a subsidiary of Indian Head Inc., and was the chief operating officer of the Bancroft licensing division. After Bancroft, he became the president of the Lawrence Manufacturing Textile Company of Lowell, Massachusetts.

He died January 18, 1984, in North Hanover, Massachusetts.
