The Press Conference was presumably related to MCIs agreement with the TransCanada Telephone System to provide selected Canadian locations with discounted telecommunications service with USA the first MCIs international agreement. Photographs present McGowan giving a talk and an audience. The date on the accompanying letter must read January 3, 1983, instead of 1982.
