Shows the awards for Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best Picture, and ends with a performance of the musical number "There's No Business Like Show Business." Also includes the presentation of the "Scientific or Technical Award," which was given to Don W. Prideaux, Leroy G. Leighton, and the Lamp Division of the General Electric Company, "for the development and production of an improved 10 kilowatt lamp for motion picture set lighting." John Wayne, Bob Hope, Burl Ives, Red Buttons, Kim Novak, Susan Hayward, David Niven, Irene Dunne, James Cagney, Bette Davis, Anthony Quinn, Ingrid Bergman, Barbara Rush, and Jacques Tati all make appearances.
