Scope and Contents
The du Pont family history and other personal records series encompass the textual and graphic materials having to do with the affairs of E. Paul du Pont, his wife, his children, and even his parents. The series includes various portraits and snapshots of E. Paul du Pont from childhood to adulthood, portraits of Francis Gurney du Pont and Eliza Wigfall Simons, personal letters between Jean Kane Foulke and her children after her husband's death, and images of the du Pont family property along the Brandywine River. There are also two handwritten journals that had belonged to E. Paul du Pont and some written pieces having to do with his upbringing.
