Photographs depict sightseeing in Japan, Jennings' visit to the Museum of International Telecommunications, and other events. Ephemera includes guides to the Edo-Tokyo Museum, tickets, cartoons, invitations from the Fulbright Commission, a towel from the Yakult Swallows baseball team, information on KDD Miyazaki Cable Landing Station, a schedule and other items from the 8th KCII/KDD Senior Level Meeting, a ruler from RCA Communications Retirees Association, a KDD Corporate Profile and board of directors list, a coaster, Christmas cards, Jennings' KDD identification cards, a schedule of a facility tour by Jennings of KDD Oyama Network Center, MCI WorldCom logos, an envelope from KDDI, an advertisement for GuyLian chocolate sea shells, newspaper clippings, and other items. Newspaper clippings include articles about Japanese baseball, the WorldCom buyout of MCI in 1999, the birth announcement of Princess Aiko, bankruptcy of Global Crossing, and an op-ed about irresponsible media coverage and terrorism in the United States.
Physical Description
16 scrapbook boards ; 12.5 x 16 in. Unbound boards are white with gold border. Includes color photographic prints and various items of ephemera. Some items are loose and placed in sleeves that have been pasted onto the boards.
