Abstract:

John Edward Hansen (1917-2006) worked at the DuPont Company's Experimental Station for more than thirty years as a monofilament scientist, beginning in the early 1950s. He was best known for his work on the Stern fishing line. E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company is a chemical company more commonly referred to as the DuPont Company. The DuPont Experimental Station is a large industrial research facility founded in 1903, focusing on chemistry research. This small collection of papers from Hansen's career consists primarily of scientific papers he wrote. Topics include melt spinning, monofilaments, and Stern fishing line. The materials date from 1942 to 1983.
