Scope and Content:

Consists of accident reports produced by the Wilmington City Railway Co. from April to May 1901, and both accident and injury reports from the Delaware Coach Co. between 1959 and 1963. Those from the Wilmington City Railway Co. consist of statements from trolley operators that detail accidents as trivial as a man twisting his ankle getting off the trolley, to horses, dogs, and people hit by trolleys. Delaware Coach Co. bus accident reports include names of bus drivers and other drivers involved, description of damaged vehicles, location of the accident, and the cause and extent of the damage. Injury reports document injuries to Delaware Coach employees, insurance and damage claims, and descriptions of medical bills and treatments given to accident victims. Also included are three lawsuits that resulted from bus accidents.
