Amalgamated Leather Companies, Inc. manufactured black and colored glazed kid and other classes of leather used largely in making shoes in the early to mid-twentieth century. This collection consists of four photographs of employees at various events, and one factory exterior. There is also a color label.

Ansco G. Bruinier, Jr. (1898-1993) served as the DuPont Company’s Technical Advertising Manager for its Organic Chemicals Department, Dyestuffs Division at Deepwater, New Jersey, from the 1930s until his retirement in 1963. In 1917, the Jackson Laboratory was established at Deepwater, New Jersey, as a major production facility for dyestuffs. This small collection consists of photographs which document a selection of highlights of Bruinier's career working in the Jackson Laboratory and in the Organic Chemicals Department. The photographs date from 1919 through 1969.

Baldwin Locomotive Works was a manufacturer of railroad locomotives from 1825 until 1972. This image shows group of about forty male employes and fifteen factory visitors or managers posed on a 8-inch (?) railway gun mount in the Eddystone, Pennsylvania, plant.

Crawford H. Greenewalt (1902-1993) was an executive with the DuPont Company and president of the firm from 1948 to 1962. The collection consists of photographs and other materials related to Crawford Greenewalt's career with the DuPont Company and his involvement with corporate boards and other business and scientific organizations, etc., such as Boeing, M.I.T., Smithsonian Institution, and Radio Free Europe.

Donald Fell Carpenter (1899-1985) was General Manager of the Film Department at the DuPont Company. The collection consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, pamphlets and a few letters relating to Donald Carpenter's personal life and career.

This item is an outdoor group portrait of DuPont Company employees, apparently posed on the front porch and steps of the company office in the Hagley Powder Yards.

A collection of random publications, photographs, and objects associated with DuPont's Engineering Physics Laboratory. A number of the items appear to be associated with Paul M. Tannenbaum, once Senior Research Physicist at the Laboratory.

The Erie City Iron Works in Erie, Pennsylvania, was a major manufacturer of boilers, stationary and portable engines, and machinery for sawmills and steam riveting. These are five reproductions of nineteenth century photographs from the Erie City Iron Works. One is an exterior of the plant. The four others are posed photographs of employee groups.

The DuPont Experimental Station is a large industrial research facility founded in 1903; focused on chemistry research. This collection consists primarily of group photographs of new employees in the Central Research Department at DuPont's Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware for the years 1922 to 1959. All individuals pictured are identified.

Francis Bannerman Son was a major purveyor of military goods to sportsmen and collectors in New York City over three generations. The collection consists of photographs of Francis Bannerman and his family, including his wife, Helen "Nellie" Boyce Bannerman (1852-1931), and his sons, Francis VII (1873-1946) and David (1875-1957). The collection also includes photographs of Bannerman's Island Arsenal, including images of the 1969 fire in full blaze and its destructive aftermath.

Gordon M. Kline (1903-1981), earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from University of Maryland in 1934, served as a technical investigator for the U.S. Army in Germany in 1945. These are three snapshot photographs of Dr. G. M. Kline and research team in Troisdorf, Germany, June 1945.

Greta Brown Layton (1924-2014) was a descendant of Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours (1739-1817) who founded the E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company with his son Eleuthère Irénée du Pont (1771-1834) in 1802. The E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company is a chemical company more commonly referred to as the DuPont company. This collection consists of family portraits and group photographs of ancestors of Greta Brown Layton. The bulk of the collection are portrait engravings of individual members of the du Pont, Hounsfield, Pelleport, Van Dyke, Barksdale, and related families.

Herny S. Rothrock (1906-1986) was a DuPont research chemist. In 1930, he joined the staff of the Experimental Station of E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company. He obtained fifty-six patents, chiefly in the field of polymer chemistry and served ten years at liaison manager in the Central Research Department, retiring in 1971. This collection consists primarily of photos relating to DuPont's Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware. There are group photos of new employees in the Central Research Department, committees and conferences and press release photos from the 1964 New York World's Fair.

The Individuals and families series includes includes du Pont, his family and extended family, friends and associates. The images are mostly individual portraits of identified people, over half of this series contains photographs of various du Pont family members, with particular emphasis on P.S. du Pont. There are group portraits and snapshots of families, many identified, but not always. Most of the photographs are original and there are a few original engravings, however, there are also many photographic reproductions of engravings, paintings, or drawings of those who lived prior to the invention of photography in 1826. There are glass and film negatives taken by P.S. du Pont himself. Many of these are from his youth; for example, the 65 negatives taken at Phillips Academy where his brother was a student. There are albums of cartes de visite of which many of the subjects are identified and also an album once in the possession of Henry Algernon du Pont containing Civil War-era military officers (predominantly physicians) and military scenes. There is a two-volume set of du Pont de Nemours family portraits that was printed for the 100 anniversary of the family and an album of the 150th family reunion in 1950. The albums are listed in the beginning of the series, followed by individuals/families listed alphabetically by last name.

James F. Allee Jr. (1884-1956), was a lawyer and publisher from Dover, in Kent County, Delaware. This collection contains six photographic prints from the J.F. Allee papers.

The Joy Manufacturing Company was a major manufacturer of underground mining and materials handling machinery. The photographs were collected by retired corporate secretary James Packer (1920-2008) in 1985 for the purpose of writing a company history. This small collection consists of photographs, mostly group portraits of staff. The collection dates range from the 1921 to 1988. The materials are so sporadic that there is no bulk date.

Leonard W. Walton (1911-2005) was a printing industry executive with Milprint, Inc., which specialized in printing packaging materials, between 1936 and 1976. This collection of photographs related to Milprint, Inc was collected by Leonard W. Walton. A majority of the photographs show Milprint employees attending events, banquets, and dinners, including Quarter Century Club celebrations.

Christian Schussele (1824-1879) was an artist and teacher at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. John Sartain (1808-1897) was a Philadelphia printmaker and engraver, and director of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. The engraving is a group portrait of nineteen nineteenth-century American inventors and industrialists, collected around a table with examples of their inventions, and beneath a portrait of Benjamin Franklin.

Aloysius F. Rowe (1905-1940) worked for the New Bridge Station followed by the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad for eighteen years, he then was employed by the DuPont Company. This collection includes eight copy photographic prints of Rowe family photographs, featuring large group portraits in unidentified settings, presumably the Village of Henry Clay area.

Lammot du Pont (1831-1884) was a chemist and inventor, he was the grandson of Eleuthere Irenee du Pont (1771-1834), founder of E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, more commonly known as the DuPont Company. This collection contains photographs of Brandywine, Hagley area, and the family of Lammot du Pont and Mary Belin du Pont (1839-1913).

The collection primarily consists of images featuring the Marshall family and their relatives and friends, both in formal group portraits and more casual poses.

Thomas J. Godson (1894-1992) was an employee of the DuPont Company for thirty four years, primarily working in the Paint and Varnish Division. This collection consists primarily of photographs of DuPont's Buffalo, New York Refinish Service Warehouse and group portraits of the office staff, salesmen, and warehouse crew working there.

The railroad in Pennsylvania expanded greatly throughout late nineteenth century. This item is a photographic print showing posed group of twelve laborers photographed by industrial building near railroad track.

William E. Mullestein (1911-2005) was president of the Lukens Steel Company from 1969 to 1974 and chairman from 1974 to 1978. These seven photographs relate to his career at Lukens Steel.

William Hilles Ward (1892-1961) was a chemist, who specialized in explosives serving in high positions at the E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company and the Remington Arms Company, Inc. The collection includes press clippings, speeches, photographs of Ward and the DuPont Board of Directors, birth and death certificates for Ward and his wife Sophie Hodges Ward (1894-1968), obituaries and memorials.

William Wallace Atterbury (1866-1935) was a career officer on the Pennsylvania Railroad and its president from 1925 to 1935. The collection consists of photographs and other materials relating to William Wallace Atterbury. Many of the photographs are portraits and other pictures of Atterbury and his family, friends, and associates, including his Yale classmates, business leaders, and notable figures such as President and Mrs. Herbert Hoover and Charles Lindburgh.

The Wilmington Trapshooting Association (WTA) was organized in 1910 and continues to be active today. This collection consists of photographs of members of the Wilmington Trapshooting Association at various events from the early 1900s through the 1980s.

The Wilson family were owners of the Wilson Line, a steamboat company that was popular for traveling between Philadelphia, Pennslyvania, Wilmington, Delaware and Riverview Beach, New Jersey. This collection contains portraits of groups and individuals, as well as snapshot of family members and their estate and documents related to Frances W. Richardson's volunteer work for hospitals and the American Red Cross.

Andrew Gray Wilson (1844-1905) was well-known among shipbuilders as a preeminent marine engineer and naval architect. This small collection consists primarily of individual and group portraits and snapshots of the Wilson family and the family of one of the daughters, Natalie Wilson du Pont. The collection is organized into three series; family photographs; home interiors and exteriors; and family cars and dogs photographs.
