Biographical Note
Charles Dutilh (1803-1882) was prominent in the work of commerce in Philadelphia and served as the president of the Pennsylvania Company for Insurance. Dutilh married Cora Monges Dutilh (1805-1829). After her death, he got remarried to Mary Graff Dutilh (1809-1896). Charles Dutilh had five children. He was involved in communication between several Philadelphia commerce societies, including the Philadelphia Saving Fund Society and the Six Penny Saving Fund.
