Historical Note
Uxbridge Worsted Co., Inc. was a cotton, woolen, and worsted fabrics manufacturer. It was established in 1906 by Charles A. Root (1874-1932) and Louis Bachmann (1872-1947). Bachmann served as president and Root as manager.
In 1946, the company merged with L. Bachmann & Co., becoming Bachmann Uxbridge Worsted Co.
